Calafiori is a twenty year old Roman defender who was trained in the Roma youth academy from the age of nine. He usually plays in the left-back position, but his ability to adapt helps him to perform also as a full back and even as a central defender. His aggressiveness and effectiveness in attack are qualities that allow him to perform in both positions and demonstrate his versatility.
At his young age, he has already made a total of 18 official appearances for the Giallorossi, including not only in Serie A but also in European competition. He has made his debut in the Europa League and Conference League, winning the first edition. The Roman left-back is also a regular at youth level for the Italian national team, having played for the Azzurri at U-15, U-16, U-17, U-19, U-20 and most recently at U-21 level.
