Xisco Muñoz, appointed new SD Huesca manager

//

Xisco Muñoz has been appointed new manager of SD Huesca. The Manacor-born coach has experience on the bench of Nástic de Tarragona as assistant coach and as head coach at Dinamo Tbilisi, with whom he won the Georgian League, and at Watford, with whom he earned promotion to the Premier League last season.

Xisco, who achieved the best winning percentage by a manager in Championship history with 21 wins and six draws in 43 games, lands in Spain to improve the Aragonese’s club results, after winning just two of their last ten games.

As a player, Xisco Muñoz was a striker with a long career in Spanish football, having played for Valencia, Recreativo, Tenerife, Betis, Betis, Levante and Gimnàstic de Tarragona, where he retired. He also spent three and a half years in Georgia.

The coach's style is characterised by a leading role with the ball, a dominating attitude in midfield, youth and fresh and renewed ideas updated to modern football.
