//

The memorable New England Revolution year on the MLS –single-season points record, with 73–, brought not just great news at a performing level. Brandon Bye, represented by Promoesport and drafted by the club in 2018, has proved himself as one of the best defenders in the competition. The Michigan-native footballer’s performances have convinced the team to offer him an extension of his contract until 2024, ensuring the continuity of one of the most important players for the next years.

Brandon Bye has participated in 29 regular season games. As a right-back, he has scored two goals and provided two assists to help the team’s attack, the most effective in the MLS by far. Besides, he makes 64,4 touches and a key pass per game, proof of his influence in the attack. On the other hand, defensively he makes two clearances and two tackles per match, and wins 5,5 duels every 90 minutes, with a success rate of 54%.

After conquering the Supporter’s Shield, the renewed player and Carles Gil are already focused on the Playoffs. Today they have their first game, corresponding to the Eastern Conference semifinals, in which they will face New York City, eighth in the general table and fourth in their Conference. If they make it through this stage, their rivals will be Philadelphia Union, as they eliminated Nashville in the penalty shootout.
